Local Bay Area Accelerator Invests in Fashion Accessory Startup

Oakland, Calif. (Jan. 26, 2023) – Ziva Naseer, an Oakland-based luxury mosaic handbag brand, is a proud recipient of an ICA fund and the latest member of high-growth businesses to join the ICA portfolio. The woman-owned national brand just closed a $50,000 investment with ICA.

Dominique Waters, founder of Ziva Naseer, is on a mission to design radiant quality one-of-a-kind handbags for the modern woman. Waters moved to Abu Dhabi in 2014 and discovered the art of mosaic handbag crafting and design. Metal and wood mosaic handbags are a cultural and traditional statement piece in India, the Middle East, and Northern African Culture. Traditionally, mosaic handbags were given as gifts during special occasions and specifically joyful milestones in any woman's life. Ziva Naseer handbags, clutches, and crossbodies are made with excellent quality and are designed for the modern woman while paying homage to the beauty that exists around the world.
